Oklahoma Centennial Mustang National Show

About 500 participating vehicles showed up in Mustang, Oklahoma to support the Mustang Club of America's National Show. The Oklahoma Mustang Club, was host to the event and the whole town of Mustang rolled out the red carpet for attendees. Most businesses in town has 'Welcome' signs out and the Mustang Police Department were writing 'commemorative' citations for five dollars. The Mustang post office set up a special cancellation stamp just for the show, so participants could send themselves a souvenir postcard or letter with the unique cancellation.



 


 

Friday night's activity featured a Pow Wow, and Saturday evening offered a choice of a cruise to Oklahoma City's historic Bricktown district, or a Poker Run in and around the city of Mustang. Unique Performance was supporting the event and showing a number of Foose Stallion cars. The local Ford dealer, Joe Cooper, brought out a Roush Roadster, Shelby GT and a Steeda modified GT500. Other cars to ogle included a pair of Saleen's Parnelli Jones editions and a total of thirty cars from the Black Mustang Club.
