Attending high school during the muscle car era of late
60's/early 70's, fast cars were my #1 interest (after
girls). I had learned to drive in my father's new 68
Pontiac GTO. My sister owned a 65 Mustang Coupe and my
brother-in-law had purchased a 71 Mach 1 Fastback when he
got home from Vietnam. Years later when my two children
left the nest, I knew I wanted something to drive that
wasn't just another SUV, mini-van or plain old sedan.
When I test drove this Vista Blue GT, I was hooked on the
Mustang. Then I discovered what the aftermarket had to
offer for this late model body style, my GT has slowly
become what it is today. Along the way, I found the real
friendship of the Oklahoma Mustang Club; cruising, car
shows, parades and much more. Though my wife doesn't
really understand it, driving this great car not only
gives me pleasure; it brings me back the feelings of my
youth when gas was only 25 cents a gallon and horse power
ruled the road.
