Performance and racing
legend Carroll Shelby’s collaboration with
Ford Motor Company began in the 1960’s and
continues even today. The 2008 GT500 featured a
supercharged & intercooled 5.4L, 4 valve,
DOHC V8 engine mated to a Tremec 6-speed
transmission. This
2008 Grabber Orange Shelby GT500 is one
of 60 built with these
colors and options. It was a feature
car at the 2008 Shelby Nationals.
Tulsa based Car Fx installed “Shelby by
JBA” Exhaust along with Steeda Cold Air
Induction, Steeda High Performance Supercharger
Pulley, Steeda Tuning, Steeda Springs and
20” American Racing Wheels. Power output was
increased from 500HP to approximately 650HP.
The custom two tone
interior was created by Oklahoma City based VTS.
The authentication dash plaque in the center of
the console bears Carroll Shelby’s actual
signature.
