John Brining and his 1971 Mach 1 with 351 Cleveland engine and Ram Air with a Virginia “OMC” license plate! John is an Oklahoma Mustang Club member from Manassa VA.

This number’s matching Mustang was restored over the last two years using new or NOS parts where possible. The engine, C-6 tranny and all of the running gear was rebuilt or replaced. The interior was refurbished to original. Found a new, in the original box, AM/FM 8 track that I installed. The trunk floor, rear panel and rear quarters were replaced during the restoration. I re-wired the car taking care to make it look like the original wiring. I had the rim blow steering wheel re-done along with refurbishing the original seat belts. All of the original bright work was redone and all of the glass was replaced. All in all, I estimate 1,500 plus man hours in the restoration. A winner of many local car shows and a Gold Concours driven winner, it is driven whenever possible.
