After graduating from UCO in the spring of 2003, Lesa began the search for a new job.  After getting settled into one, she decided (with a little help from her then-boyfriend) that she need to upgrade her 2002 Mustang to a 2005 Mustang GT.  Barrett had driven a pre-production car and helped convince Lesa that a new 05 was a must-have.
 
After much thought and deliberation, Barrett ordered Lesa's new Stang in the summer of 2004 just the way Lesa wanted it.  It would be black with crimson leather interior.  The new car wouldn’t arrive for several months; plenty of time for Barrett to plan his surprise.

     The shiny new black Mustang GT arrived the morning of November 19, 2004.  After the car was driven off the trailer and PDI'd, Barrett had the windows tinted and thoroughly detailed the new steed. 

That evening, he drove it out to the dance studio where Lesa was teaching classes.  As she slid into the driver's seat of her new baby, Barrett told her that he had ordered the car with an option which he had not told her about.  As she snarled at him, "what, a stereo?", Barrett reached across to the center console and pulled out the engagement ring hidden inside.
Will you marry me?, Barrett pleaded.  Are you kidding me?, was the loving reply he received for all his scheming.  She said yes while fighting back tears.
Lesa is still enjoying her car (especially when she can get Barrett to wash it!) and looks forward to making minor modifications in addition to her Ford Racing exhaust.
