Carroll Shelbys collaboration with Ford
Motor Company began as a result of Shelbys
success in racing. Ford was anxious to position Mustang
with other 1960s Muscle Cars
and so was born the Shelby Mustang.
1968 Shelby Mustangs
came standard with fiberglass hood,
decklid and side scoops. The fiberglass front fascia included the
first driving
lights ever installed on a production car and the fiberglass rear
fascia is accented by
sequential tail lights. The reel-type racing harnesses and
rollbar were standard equipment.
This Sunlit Gold 1968 Shelby GT350 Cobra Mustang is one of 803
fastbacks which featured Fords
new 302cid engine. It is one of nine built in the colors
& options you see.
The Owners Manual bears Carroll Shelbys actual
signature
