| The
kids are raised, the bill's are paid, and in August of
2007 my wife Rita and I decided after 25 years of working
hard, I could "justify" a play toy. I have
always talked about the cars I used to have in my younger
days, including three Mustangs..a 65, a 66, and a
69coupe. When Ford introduced the "retro" 2005,
I made up my mind That I had to have one. So, We bought a
2007 GT. Fairly standard as GT's go. Solid white, total
black leather interior. All the bell's, whistles, and a
5-speed trans. After a road trip to the west coast right
off the bat..paper tag and all, I started looking for
other GT owners and found OKmustangs. I utilized this
web-site so much that by Sept. of 08, I felt I needed to
join the club and did. What a joy. Hit alot of car-shows
all summer into fall, even picked up a few trophy's along
the way. Great Club! So, I have included a few pic's of
my car. Over the last year and a half I have done some
mild modifications that were inspired directly from
OKmustang members and their cars. I have had a Flo-Master
exhaust system installed, K/N cold air intake, upgraded
throttle body and spacer, and a Diablo Predator Sport
Tune to 91 octane. These mod's really woke this car up! I
replaced the factory 17x8 GT wheels and Pirelli's with
Chrome 17x9.5 Bullit wheels and NIKKO tires. I had custom
Lemans (black) stripes painted with some sneaky little
"Ghost Flames" hiding in the hood. A few Roush
items on the windows and hood And recently drove it to
Nashville and got 24 mpg. (driving normal) but can also
do the 0-60 thing in about 4 seconds and some change!
Crazy! I love my Mustang and really am enjoying meeting
folks in the club. Hope to get more involved in 2009.
P.S. I think the last pic of my license plate trim says
it all! Thank-you! Scott |
