Barrett Determan's 1989 5.0 GT Convertible
I purchased my car in the spring of 1998 when the original owners traded it in to the dealership I was working at. It wasn't exactly what I wanted (convertible, auto), but it was to good to pass up.
Like most Mustang owners, I wanted to make my car a little nicer. The first change came after a minor accident required me to find a new hood. I found one I liked, and after it put on, I knew that it wouldn't be the last change I would make.
In the fall of 2000, I met a man named Craig Buchholz when he and his wife purchased a 2001 Mustang GT. Craig told me about the OMC, and invited me to attend a meeting. After meeting so many great people, I knew I wanted to become a member of this great club.
Soon thereafter, I was in an unfortunate accident which would require a lot of work. While having difficulty dealing with the insurance company, I consulted my friend Craig. He referred me to Steve Hendrix, who was a major help in dealing with the insurance company.
After reaching a settlement, I liked forward to making my car look better than it ever had before. I took my car to McConnell's body shop, where my friends Richard and son Donny performed their magic.
Modifying my car has been more fun than I could have imagined. Here is a list of current modifications:

I hope to continue to improve upon my car as finances allow. Some like to keep their cars 100% original, and I think that's great. I like seeing old cars that look like they belong on the showroom floor. But for me half the fun is improving on what I started with. Who knows where it will end.
