Gordon purchased this car for Nancy for her birthday in June of 2003 and immediately began finishing the restoration as well as having a great time with the Mustang Club.

In December of 2005 Gordon decided to turn the Mustang into a Shelby Clone. The engine is a 289 cubic inch bored 30/over with steel crank and forged pistons. It has trick flow twisted wedge, aluminum heads, 270 cam with roller tip rockers, is equipped with a factory tri-power manifold with 3 Holly carburetors which Ford offered as part of their Cobra Kit Package. It has a C-4 automatic transmission, power steering, power disc brakes, air-conditioning, Hooker headers and Turbo mufflers. 17" x 8" chrome Bullet wheels.
