Saleen
"Power in the hands of a few"

That is the motto for Saleen Motorsports. Named for racecar legend Steve Saleen,
this company enhances Mustangs for the ultimate driving experience.  In business
since 1984, they take stock mustangs and upgrade them with suspension, brake, engine, and body modifications for extreme performance.
This car was built in 1999 and is certified from Saleen to be a 1 of 1 which means no other Saleen for that year is equipped the same as this one. There were a total of 373 Saleen S281's built and 182 of them were convertibles. This Limited Edition is #153.
Built for Sam's Town Casino in Tunica, Mississippi, the first person to own it paid $5.
Opting to sell, it was found by Greg & Lisa Gisler at the Mercedes dealership in Oklahoma City. They enjoyed several seasons of showing this special car before
deciding a 1968 Shelby would take it's place. David Owen would store it for the winter
before handing the keys over to us. Of course we had to hand him a check for his trouble!
So as the motto goes, the power has been in the hands of a few...but as of now it's in the hands of  two.....George & Marianne Dugas
