William Perry's 88 Stang

I bought the car from the original owner in 1999 and August of that year. Everything on it was original except the one muffler new tires and a hose or two. It was pretty dirty, the paint was peeling on the hood, front fenders, and the deck lid. The carpet was stained as well as the seats. The car had 152,000 miles on it at that time. I started in by putting in a motor out of a 1989 with 72,000 mi. on it and changed the carpet. Then I had the seat covers redone. Then I started in taking off all the ground effects and hood to sand it all and then paint it. It was originally all light gray but when I repainted it I made the lower part dark gray and put a little pearl in the clear coat. I have put on under drive pulleys, cat back exhaust, cold air induction, chrome on a lot of parts under the hood and interior. I have changed out the weather strip on the doors and replaced the back carpet. I had the original motor rebuilt and everything went back stock because there was no wear on the motor even with 157,000. So it is ready now when needed. I have done all the work myself except the motor rebuild and seats recovered. It has a lot of power and gets 25-30mpg. It is the best car I have ever owned.
