My wife had been giving me a bad time about running my 85.5 rare Mustang SVO at Hallett for some time.  She said I needed a car just for playing at Hallett. So, on a trip to Dallas to visit or daughter and her family in September 2003, I picked up the local newspaper and looked for some Mustangs. I found 3 that were fairly close; went and checked them out. One was to high priced the other was too rough but the blue bomber was just right. It’s nothing special, pretty rough interior, body is ok, the racing stripes are cool and above all it runs grrrrrrrrrrreat. Before driving it home from Dallas I had to purchase a battery and the brakes were marginal at best.
After new brake pads, rotors, u-joint and an oil change I was off to Hallett. The car has sub frame connectors, new KYB front struts and a K-member brace.  It really handle well.
Future projects will include 5-lug conversion, 17” wheels with sticky tires, caster camber plates, racing seats, 4 point harness. Plus many other items in the never ending saga of playing with cars.
